If inclement weather or some other emergency requires that the school be delayed or closed, you will receive a phone call from our automated system. This information will also be announced on KDKA, WTAE, and WPXI. Because of the number of public school districts represented in our school, it is important that you listen for an announcement that identifies Our Lady of Grace School. Please do not call the school or rectory for this information.
ON A 2 HOUR DELAY DAY:
* The Breakfast Program does not operate
* Students need to be at school by 10:30AM
* Students may be dropped off beginning at 10:15AM to the cafeteria
* The Before School Program begins at 9:00AM
* AM & All Day Preschool begin at 11:00AM
* AM Preschool dismisses at 12:45PM
In the event of a two-hour delay, Our Lady of Grace School follows the same procedure as our local public school district, Chartiers Valley. When OLG is delayed ALL students are delayed. Parents are responsible for transportation to school if their home district is delayed and OLG is not and the reverse is also true. Students who ride buses from other districts who may or may not be delayed should follow their district’s schedules for transportation. The earliest a student in K-8 can be dropped off at the school on a two-hour delay day is 10:15AM. If you need to drop off your student in K-8 earlier than 10:15AM, you can use the Before School Program as early as 9:00AM for a fee. Preschool students should be dropped off at 11:00AM. If you need to drop off your 4 year preschool student before 11:00AM, you may also use the Before School Program as early as 9:00AM for a fee. For more information on our Before & After School Program checkout our website. If your district does not delay or if your district closes and OLG is delayed, you will need to provide your own transportation.

Just a reminder to please dress your child appropriately for the weather.
Students will go out for recess as long as the temperature is above 32 degrees.
All students should have heavy coats, hats, and gloves ready at all times during the winter season.
