I am excited to teach the 3rd grade as well as the Dramatic Arts! I have been truly blessed to be part of the Our Lady of Grace faculty for the last sixteen years. The first part of my time here was spent in the First Grade and then five years ago I made the transition to Third Grade teacher, as well as Drama teacher for grades sixth through eighth. In addition to my teaching duties, I also sponsor both the O.L.G. Cabaret Players and the O.L.G. Drama Club. Three years ago, I was honored to receive the Diocese of Pittsburgh Golden Apple Award. I am excited to see what the future will bring and am thrilled to spend this year getting to know my students and their families better.
I am a graduate of Saint Vincent College where I received my Bachelor of Arts degree. I then continued my studies at Duquesne University where I earned my Masters. I am certified in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education and also have my Reading Specialist Certificate. This summer I was certified to be a DIBELS mentor and trainer. I continue to pursue professional development opportunities and bring what I learn into my classroom to make my curriculum both fresh and current.
Teaching has been my calling since I was a child and am truly thrilled to share my love of learning with all my students! It is my hope to not only educate my students, but inspire them and help them grow in their faith! I believe in open communication, so please feel free to contact me whenever you have a question or concern.
